Emerald Lake Books is our publishing imprint that provides a la carte and packaged services to coaches, consultants, trainers, entrepreneurs and business professionals who are interested in creating and publishing a book that helps grow their business. These individuals have discovered that they can better educate their prospects, establish their expertise and generate the elite opportunities that being an author affords simply by becoming an author. And we either shepherd them through the process and only help them when they get stuck so that they can learn to do it themselves, or they hire us to transform their words from manuscript to masterpiece for them.
After that, Aleweb Social Marketing helps those same authors (and speakers) to get found online, on-stage and on-the-shelf. We create WordPress websites, social profiles, marketing strategies, and provide educational resources. We also provide book launch support services, as well as audio and video editing.
Between the two businesses, we’re in regular need of interns who can help with editing, formatting and designing books, indexing, WordPress support, audio and video editing, and graphic artists. So, if you or someone you know has some or all of those interests, send us a message letting us know.
Ideally, we’re looking for one more more interns to help us with our businesses.
If you’re interested in seeing what we have to teach you, tell us a little bit about yourself, the skills you currently have, what new skills you’re developing, what part of the world you live in, and what you hope to be doing a year from now.
The ideal candidate would possess most, if not all, of the following skills:
- Editing (line, copy and developmental)
- Book formatting (InDesign or Word)
- WordPress website design
- Website maintenance
- MailChimp configuration
- Graphic design
- Audio editing (Audacity)
- Video editing (Movie Maker or iMovie)
- Course design (Udemy)
- Internet research
- Strong administrative skills
- Fluent English (essential skill)
Interns with any combination of these skills (English is a must) will be given consideration based on the existing needs of our businesses and the skill level of the applicant.
If you are interested in working part-time or on an ad hoc basis with us, contact us to let us know. We’d be happy to be a part of your developing career.
Be sure to tell us about yourself, the skills you have (and expertise level), what new skills you’re developing (whether they’re related to this job posting or not), what part of the world you live in, what you hope to be doing a year from now, and what constraints you have on your time (sports, extracurricular activities, school, work).
