  1. Ahh…yes I agree, some people have linkedin accounts that are just plain sad. I’m hoping mine would be considered a work in progress! LOL


    With social media, i do FB and twitter. LinkedIn seemed a bridge too far for me and I wasn’t sure how it would assist me in what I’m particularly doing! But I do understand how having an elevator speech can help. Next time I’m in an elevator I’m going to try it on someone 🙂

    • Understanding the strategy of how you’re going to use a network of any kind (in person or online) is important before you get started. No sense wasting time being willy-nilly about it! 🙂

      Stop back and let us know how the elevator speech in the elevator goes. I actually met one of my mentors in an elevator. He was (and is) a global business celebrity. I was not. But a college student joined us in the elevator and saw me with one of my books, so she started gushing over me. My mentor was impressed by how I handled it and struck up a conversation with me later.

      Elevators can be magical!
